A Warrant of Fitness (WOF) is the safety check your vehicle needs to stay legal on the road. We do them at the workshop in New Lynn, most while you wait.
We check the parts of your vehicle that keep you safe: brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, wipers, seatbelts, glass, doors, mirrors, the exhaust and the structure of the body.
If something fails, we show you what it is and explain it in plain English. You get a price for the repair before we touch it, and you decide whether we do the work.
Most cars first registered before 2000 need a WOF every six months. Newer ones are usually annual. If you are not sure, bring the paperwork and we will check.
If any of these sound familiar, bring the vehicle in and we will take a look.
The expiry date is on the label on your windscreen. Book a week or two before it runs out.
Soft brakes, a pull to one side or a warning light will fail a WOF. Get it checked first.
A fresh WOF makes a private sale much easier. We can do a pre-purchase inspection too.
Oil and filter changes, fluid top-ups and a full safety check to keep your vehicle reliable and your service book up to date.
Engine, cooling, transmission and clutch work on all makes and models. We tell you what needs doing now and what can wait.
Pads, discs, drums and brake fluid. If your brakes squeal, shudder or feel soft, bring it in for a free check.
Call the workshop and we will tell you straight away when we can take your vehicle. Or send a booking request and we will come back to you.
